Jonathan Walker, MD
Introduction
Dr. Walker joined our practice in 2019 and is the only fellowship trained pediatric urologist in Chattanooga. Dr. Walker specializes in a variety of complex congenital and acquired urologic conditions which he treats using open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Walker prides himself on providing his patients with the most up to date, evidence-based care, and he is excited about teaming with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger to continue to build one of the most comprehensive pediatric urologic care centers in the region.

Research Interests and Publications
Dr. Walker has published papers about pediatric urologic cancers such as Wilms tumor, renal cell carcinoma, testicular tumors, and rhabdomyosarcoma. Dr. Walker is also involved in ongoing research into undescended testicles, vesicoureteral reflux, ambiguous genitalia, and hypospadias. He has presented his work at several local and international meetings including the American Urological Association, The Societies for Pediatric Urology, and the Pediatric Urologic Oncology Working Group. His research has also been published in several esteemed journals such as the Journal of Urology, the Journal of Pediatric Urology, Urology, and the Journal of Pediatric Surgery.

Personal
Dr. Walker was born in Memphis, TN and grew up just south of the state line in Southaven, MS. He and his wife, Jessica, have family ties throughout the Southeast, and along with their four children, are happy to call Chattanooga home.
