Ethan Matz, MD

Ethan Matz, MD, is a reconstructive urologist with Erlanger Urology. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Religion at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he also attended medical school. He completed his urology residency at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC, where he conducted basic and translational science research in erectile dysfunction. He then completed a fellowship in urologic trauma, reconstruction, and prosthetics at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Matz’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of urologic trauma, reconstruction, and genitourinary prosthetics. His areas of interest include urethral reconstruction for urethral stricture, penile curvature/Peyronie’s disease, and genital plastic surgery, including buried penis repair. He is trained in urologic trauma management and reconstruction and offers traditional open procedures as well as minimally invasive and robotic approaches.
